80 years Hotel Laserz

The hotel was established from Aloisia and Josef Amort between 1927 and 1929.

The location was choosen by Josef because of the fact that there are several ways to the “Tristacher See” passing by. Until 1936 the house was managed only in the summer time and after the year 1936 for the whole year. The name “Laserz” has its origin in a mountain of the Lienzer Dolomites. Josef and Aloisia had also the “Karls-bader Hütte”. In 1936 they built the Dolomiten Hütte right on the way to the Karls-bader Hütte. In 1950 Josef and his son Albert Amort had leased the Glocknerhaus at the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße, the Glocknerhaus was runned by the family until 1998. Albert Amort and his wife Helene (born Gruber, from the hotel Defreggerhof) took over the hotel in 1972 and renovated the building in 1974 with an indoor swim-ming pool and a tennis court.

Lois and Astrid Koller (born Amort) began to manage the hotel as the third generation of our family. Down to the present day they adapt the hotel to the individual conven-iences of our guests.
