Lienz – the home of the Dolomite Race

The cross-country ski trails around the Lienzer Dolomites approach nearly 110 km. The trails are starting points for runs until South Tyrol and Carinthia.

At the Defereggen Valley, Kals and the Virgen Valley you could also find well pre-pared tracks. They can grant good snow condition.

Obertilliach with its cross-country skiing and biathlon centre (training hall, Nordic cen-tre and competition place) is the centrepiece of East Tyrol.

Every January the Dolomite Race takes place in Lienz. An event made for the peo-ple. With its supporting programm it attracts many participants.
